Time for a new mouse (17)

I broke my mouse a couple of days ago, and now the scroll function is no longer functional. I was attempting to clean the mouse from the dead skin(?) that clogs its insides, and I couldn't reach the brush
inside the crevices of the mouse wheel, and the only way I could get out the filth was to bang it against the table. I succeeded in cleaning it out, the filth actually came out nicely in large clumps, but I
broke the wheel in the process.

While at one time I did use a mouse that did not have a scroll wheel, I have become too acquainted with the convenience of not having to click the sidebar and must now retire mine in favor of using
another one...

Well I actually have probably 20 mice, it's just that I've used this one for a long time.

My current mouse doesn't have a scroll wheel, but it's not an inconvenience at all as I have a script set up to treat holding down the middle button and moving the mouse up or down to be read as turning the scroll wheel

I've been using the old-school Kensington Expert Mouse Wired Trackball for years. I just wish the scrollwheel had more precision.

I don't think I have unusual strength in my wrists. I find the Kensington Trackball really comfortable to use.

This might be the first time consciously thinking about how I use this trackball, because I've never had to explain it to anyone.
In neutral position on my right hand:
- my thumb is on the bottom-left button;
- pointer, index, and ring finger are on the trackball;
- pinky is on the bottom-right button.

## Button Reachability
- The most used bottom-left and bottom-right buttons are not far at all and very accessible.
- I use my thumb to push the top-left button which acts as the middle click. This requires that I shift my hand, but I don't find that a problem. It feels fine to me.
- The top-right button does nothing in most programs so I rarely push it. When I do use it, I find that I favor using my ring finger to push it. The only program where it does anything is Emacs, and that's only because I bound #'split-window-below to it.

I took a short nap and woke up from a dream where I was using a conventional mouse. In the dream, I was suddenly startled when I realized this. Where tf is my trackball?! Then I woke up. (I rarely see computing equipment in my dreams.)
