Opinions on raw pasta (4)

Every day I wake up and need breakfast (obviously). I always reach for the raw pasta inside my kitchen and eat it. Anyone else do this, or just me?

When I was a child I used to munch some raw pasta from the pantry when I was hungry and it wasn't quite yet time for lunch.
But one day someone, probably my mother, told me that there was a risk of contracting salmonella from eating it raw due to pasta (sometimes) having egg as one of the ingredients.
I'm not sure if there's actually any risk from the pasta we buy since it's quite dry but regardless at that time I lost the habit of eating raw pasta forever. It's not like I particularly miss eating it so even if I found there isn't any risk compared to cooked pasta I'd probably not start eating it again. It does taste OK, I concur.

The texture of raw pasta leaves much to be desired, but on the contrary, raw ramen is surprisingly quite edible
